The Department for Pastoral Formation is planning a
weekend conference in Bournemouth from
February 3rd—5th 2012 called Stop — Get Ready — Go!
The weekend will explore the theme of prayer, taking its inspiration from the
Gospels for the
weekend:
Saturday: “Jesus said to (the apostles), “You must come away to some lonely
place all by yourselves and rest awhile.”
Sunday: “In the morning, long before dawn, (Jesus) got up and left the house and
went off to a lonely place and prayed there.”
The weekend will provide opportunities to spend time with God and others, to
focus afresh on our faith, and to be reenergised to live out the Gospel call.
The theme will be explored through input, workshops both practical and
reflective, liturgy and prayer, conversation and relaxation.
A booking form can be found on the board by the door. Please encourage anyone
you know who might be interested in coming, and, of course, think about whether
you are able to join us. We hope that parishes will help towards the cost of
participating in the conference, and we are also able to offer a few subsidised
places for those who would otherwise be unable to attend (for details of these,
please contact me directly). The deadline for bookings is Friday 18th November,
to ensure that we have the rooms we need at the hotel.
