| Prayers for the Sick and Housebound If anyone wishes me to add a name of someone to our list situated in front of the Lady Altar, and being placed in front of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesday please send their name to Fr J-P. Hospital For all matters relating to St Mary's or Queen Alexandra Hospital, please contact the Chaplaincy office direct on 92286408, where there is an answer phone if no one is in the office. In an emergency, ask a member of staff to contact a priest. We offer a 24hr service. |
Anointing of the Sick can bring much peace and comfort to someone in time of sickness and can give a person courage to face an impending operation. Please ask if you wish anointing for yourself, family member or friend. MASS INTENTION-NEW STYLE ENVELOPES AVAILABLE NOW Please complete Mass Offering envelope fully, giving full details of Mass intention, preferred date, and add your contact telephone number. MASS INTENTIONS - Taking into consideration that we only have 4 Masses a week, Mass offerings will be fitted in to the nearest available Mass. They are prioritised in order of receipt unless a specific date is given. Undated ones will be said in order of receipt, some of which will be said at HMS Nelson on a Thursday. With this in mind - there may be times when a specific Mass cannot be said at the time requested, but you will be contacted if this is the case.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Ministers of Communion who take the Eucharist out to the sick and housebound please record the details of those you visit in the Black folder in the Sacristy. Fr JP would also like the opportunity to visit them. Thank you. LIVING OUR FAITH CAMPAIGN which you may have heard about at other local parishes will be starting in our Parish soon, lasting for three weekends. The idea behind the Campaign is to raise funds for the Diocese to finance clergy and vocations, laity formation and liturgy. When we have reached our target of £50,000 a percentage of this sum will come back to us to spend on Parish Projects. CONFIRMATION Catechists wanted — 14th July 2011 is when we will be having
confirmation in our Pastoral Area. We hope to have a large group of young
people coming forward for this Sacrament and will therefore need help
supporting them and their families in their preparation. Do you have
talents and enthusiasm to share faith with young people? Have you some
time you can give in the evenings or at the weekend (approx. 25 hrs)?
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED FOR SUNDAY COFFEE ROTA Parish Library There are a huge range of spiritual reading books in the West Chapel do make use of them. NEWSPAPERS Due to the number of requests for us to supply the Newspapers, it has been decided that we will continue to purchase them for you, but only for those who sign and specify their order on the form provided by the Lady Altar. If you don´t sign up, a paper will not be ordered for you. Once this is restarted your paper will be put out, with your name on. N.B.
