Prayers for the Sick and Housebound       If anyone wishes me to add a name of someone to our list situated in front of the Lady Altar, and being placed in front of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesday please send their name to Fr Andrew.


Journey in Faith   Please pray for all who are on the Journey in Faith. We meet on Monday 7pm in the Parish House.


Anointing of the Sick     can bring much peace and comfort to someone in time of sickness and can give a person courage to face an impending operation. Please ask if you wish anointing for yourself, family member or friend.


Hospital     For all matters relating to St Mary's or Queen Alexandra Hospital, please contact the Chaplaincy office direct on  92286408,  where there is an answer phone if no one is in the office. In an emergency, ask a member of staff to contact a priest. We offer a 24hr service.


No Benediction on Sunday for the time being as diary is really full.  Fr. Andrew

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament     If you wish to give an hour to prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament, or if you could give an hour once in a while to cover someone's hour who is not able to do so on a given week then please contact Heather McCelland on  92462518.  Even if you have not put your name down do pop in to pray.


Sacrament of Reconciliation     I will be available for the celebration of this Sacrament .Saturday 5.00 pm -5.45 pm and Sunday 9.30 am -10.15 am. I am also available by appointment.  Fr Andrew


Lent York Courses    Anyone wishing to join one of these ecumenical discussion groups being run throughout Lent please sign the sheet on the table by the Lady Alter


Know the Bible    a series looking at the Bible for people of all ages, and knowledge, or non, starting Sunday 7th February 3.30pmin the Church.

Postponed until further notice

Beginning with Genesis 1-12, the creation narratives. I will be using the New Jerusalem Bible texts. The cours is set to enable all of us to open this great book and explore all of this, the Word of God offers for us.  Fr Andrew


Thank you    to Russell Jones who has finished redecorating the chair cupboard and making safe the area around the boiler. We will next be up redecorating the toilets in the hall and entrance of the Hall.  Fr Andrew

Parish Library    There are a huge range of spiritual reading books in the West Chapel do make use of them.

Church Flooring.
I met with Sue Masser, an architect form Winchester and I have put up a board neer the Sacred Heart statue with her ideas. Russell Jones and Rita Denton met Sue with me and we seemes to be drawn to something towards options 1 and 2. More detail on board.  Fr Andrew
